1. I always always always use dictionary.com. This & wikipedia are the two tools I find most usesful. I use them on a daily basis, and they are so easy to locate by url. Normally when you search something on google it's wikipedia entry comes up as one of the top few hits.
2. I found an article on the .gov sites that is all about ADHD and it's recommended treatment. The article I think i have actually used in previous assignments which I thought was pretty cool. It is relevant to my thesis, because it is a current study about the recommended treatments different modes to approach and things of that nature. It was wrote up from the National Institute of Mental Health, very interesting read for someone who has been diagnosed with ADHD :).
3. I found some information about what essentially causes ADD and the ratio of men to women. "Women were more likely than men to report mental illness/depression and health impairments, while men were more likely to report attention deficit disorders." This pertains to my topic, because in order to treat ADD you need to know how effective the treatments were, and if there is anyway to prevent it. Statistics shows that for every child with ADD, only 1/7 of them are a girl.
4. I found a total of 3 videos in the library catalog that had a topic of ADD. I also found a few videos on you tube that were essentially advertising for certain organizations or spreading a messaeg about students struggling with learning disabilities. I enjoyed watching those.
Citation: Adults with attention deficit disorder Child Management. Dir. Edward C. Booth. VHS. Glen Ellyn, IL, 1994.
The essential reference tools were most useful for my topic. I went to census data and demographic- found world wide census info there is a demographic data for 228 countries and areas of the world. The U.S department of state , give me a better view of Saudi Arabia, such as the relationship with us, current travel warnings and what western nation doing to advancing freedom to move toward democracies.
As I search Google U.S government, I enter in search: (oil the war on terrorism) and found other great resource for my project. www.eia.doe.gov it show how much crud oil where imported from Persian Gulf, it in detailed to why and which company import a large percentages of oil eia-energy information administration it is an official energy statistic from U.S government. I got better understanding of sample citation.
I found two statistics to my topic, one a statistical summary of American major wars which include the Gulf War: population (millions) 260.0 enrolled (thousands) 2.750.0 and the ratio 1.1%. The second site found was an interesting site. Which is www.ict.org.il, it institute for counter- terrorism interdisciplinary center. The site is run in Israeli: p.o box 167 herzliya 46150 Israel, phone:972-9-9527267, fax:972-9-9513073. This side collect a database of terrorist incident around the world they also offer a certificate program in counter terrorism studies. As I went throw several data based I found well documented reliable source how there is strong believe of establishing a Muslim state throw-out the Islamic world. (I check other site to like www.zdf.de which is independent TV station in Germany). I also learn how the modern terrorist work with out a central based, how it differ from local to regional groups have a deferent in the primarily responsibility for this operation. How new-old terrors organization gain more influent power as the Ummah (Arabic: أمة) preacher , throw out Islamic school, from Africa to middle eastern and Europe , the CIA (www.cia.gov )also predict some Islamic school in U.S teach for(wif) world Islamic front.
Audiovisual matteral I went to www.bbc.uk. And enter in search (the war in terrorism and Saudi Arabia)in bbc audio and video. 1. Saudis host anti terror conference 5 Feb. 2005 2. The bbc peter biles TEBEBU
1. I like to use dictionary.com. I find that I used it ALL THE TIME when I was taking my integrated studies class and we had to read a lot of theory books with lots of big words. This website was most helpful to me because I automatically got a definition and it was very clear and understandable.
2.I found a .gov cite that went more against legalizing marijuana for medicinal purposes because it will just encourage more people to try and use it.
3. A statistic that I found that is relevant to legalizing marijuana I found by googling marijuana statistics. I found that it is already the number one most commonly used illicit drug in America. If this is already a hard fact, imagine what it would be like if the government decided to legalize it.
4.I actually found a video on youtube that is titled Should Marujuana be Legalized? This was very relevant to my topic. There were a total of 32,400 videos that showed up when I searched Marijuana. Morgan, John. Personal Interview. No Date
